Seeking Right of Way Agents to work in Mokena office!

Our continued growth requires experienced Right of Way Agents in the Chicagoland area!

We are currently seeking Right of Way Specialists to work at our Mokena office. The Right of Way Specialist handles all areas of right of way including all facets of property acquistion, title research, damage settlements.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Perform title searches to determine the current landowner.
•  Contact landowner to acquire property.
•  Act as a liason between the landowners and Linderlake on behalf of the client.
• Offer and arrange payment for any property or crop damages incurred during investigations, surveys, construction, or removal of communications or utilities systems.

Education: High School diploma or Bachelor degree helpful. Additional coursework in land use and acquisition preferred.

Experience: One year of right of way, title or site acquisition as it relates to natural gas and petroleum pipeline, electrical transmission line, telecommuncations facilities, railroad activities or wind energy. 

Specific Skills:

• Written/verbal communication
• Familiarity with title, real estate documents and legal descriptions.

As an example the right of way agent would perform the following tasks:

• Monitor the construction/removal of cable from a tract of land.
• Offer crop damage settlements to owner.
• Travel to county courthouse to research last deed of record.
• Negotiate the coveyance of a tract of land.
